Our Code of Practice

Introduction
Schneider Foreign Exchange has adopted a voluntary code of practice that provides protection for our clients. We operate in an appropriate and honest way in all our dealings by meeting all the commitments and standards of this code. The code is honoured: -

  • In the products and services that we offer
  • In the procedures our staff follow
  • By making sure our products and services meet relevant laws and regulations
  • Having a secure and reliable banking system.

Confidential Personal Information
Our staff and this website will ask for some personal details. Any information held will only be released either to associate group companies for marketing purposes or to evaluate the use of the website or at the request a regulatory body or authority.

Information
Schneider Foreign Exchange will help you understand how our products and services work by giving you information about them in plain English, explaining their financial implications and helping you choose the right one that meets your requirement.

You will be given clear information explaining the key features of the products and services you are interested in or if you have already made up your mind we will give you the information on a single product or service.

Foreign Exchange Services
We will give you an explanation of the service and details of the exchange rate that apply to the foreign exchange transactions which you are about to make.

We may offer clients information and opinions on market movements in order to guide clients through an immediate currency trade, but clients should be aware that currency markets are liable to fluctuations and the future is impossible to predict (even the best traders only get it right 60% of the time!) None of the information provided should be construed as financial advice.

Charges
When you become a client, we will give you details of any charges for a related currency transaction. You can also find out about these charges by contacting us. We will let you know (at any time) the charges for any other product or service and in particular before we provide that product or service.

Payments
If you want to transfer money abroad we will provide the following: -

  • Details of when the monies you have sent abroad should by available at the recipient bank
  • The reasons for any possible delays.

Client Funds Held
We do not speculate on exchange rates or with client money. We keep our rates low at all times solely by buying in bulk and at fine margins. Client funds are always held in secure accounts at major banks.

Terms and Conditions
When you become a client we will give you the relevant terms and conditions for the service you have asked us to provide. All written terms and conditions will be fair and will set out your rights and responsibilities clearly in plain English language. We will only use legal or technical language where necessary.

Last Word
We always endeavour to give all our clients a level of service way above anything they would expect from a corporate banking service.
